The books that I grew up with inspire my love of Australian story telling. I adore Ruth Park (The Harp in the South, My Sister Sif), Tim Winton (That Eye, The Sky, Eyrie) and Helen Garner (Monkey Grip). I love the unique way an Aussie approaches story – wry, bleak at times, honest and so very familiar to me.
They inspired me to read and now they inspire me to write.
